Each year one outstanding young woman is selected to represent the Marquette County Fair, compete at the Wisconsin Association of Fairs, and serve as an ambassador for agriculture and community.

The Marquette County Fairest of the Fair pageant is a cherished tradition celebrating young women from our community. The winner serves as an ambassador for the fair, representing Marquette County at local events and the Wisconsin Association of Fairs competition throughout the year.
This is a wonderful opportunity to develop public speaking skills, build confidence, and become an active part of our agricultural community. We encourage all eligible young women to apply!

Tonya Timme
Fairest of the Fair Program Coordinator
Tonya and husband David hail from the town of Endeavor. Together they have four children — Joshua, Travis, Tiffanie, and Tori — and as a family they raise a few head of beef and have a small business selling show lambs.
Tonya works for Gumz Farms as the head of Human Resources and is very passionate about the agriculture industry. She also has a passion for community service and helping local youth.
Tonya has had a positive impact on past Fairest of the Fair winners, helping throughout their reign to become better public speakers, preparing them for the State Fairest of the Fairs Competition, and giving them many tools to further their development as strong professional women in agriculture.
ELIGIBILITY & RULES
Eligibility Requirements
- ✦Must be between 16 and 21 years of age
- ✦Must be a resident of Marquette County or surrounding area
- ✦Must be single (never married)
- ✦Must be available to attend and participate in the full fair (July 15–19, 2026)
- ✦Must be willing to represent the fair at community events throughout the year
Judging Criteria
- ✦Personal interview with judges
- ✦Public speaking / on-stage presentation
- ✦Knowledge of agriculture and the Marquette County Fair
- ✦Poise, personality, and overall appearance
- ✦Community involvement and activities
FORMS & DOCUMENTS
Applications and forms for the 2026 Fairest of the Fair and Jr. Fairest of the Fair are due March 1, 2026. Coronation is March 26, 2026.
