Can you bake a great pie? If so, let’s get that Pie into the Marquette County Fair Blue Ribbon Pie Contest. This contest is a public event where the pies are displayed, judged and then tasted by the audience (for a nominal cost which is donated to a charity.
Bring your Prize-Winning Pie to the Exhibit Building on Saturday, July 6th with registration beginning at 11:30 am. The judging will begin at noon. (You do not need to pre-register online)
Your pie should be entered into one of the following pie categories: fruit, main dish, specialty or double crust.
This year, there will be two rounds of judging. The first round will sample all the pies, and three judges will recommend one pie from each category to move into the Grand Championship Round. The second set of judges will select the Grand Prize Winner. Awards will be given for each Category winner as well as the Grand Champion.
Do you make an amazing cheesecake? You have the opportunity to compete to go to the state fair! A cheesecake from Wisconsin should most definitely be dairy-rific and overflowing with Wisconsin's finest flavors, fruits and all things wonderfully Wisconsin. Let your creativity run wild with this classic dairyland tradition! Mooo .. ve over amazing cheesecake and be sure your Cream of the Crop Cheesecake is decadent with toppings of plenty.
The cheesecake judging will take place at the same place and time as the pie judging. Saturday, July 6th in the Exhibit Building. Registration starts at 11;30am and the judging will begin at noon.
If you advance from the county competition to the state competition you will take your cheesecake to the State Fair on Saturday, August 10th from 7:30am-8:30am for drop-off, with judging from 11:00am-12:30pm.
The county judging for the cheesecake contest will follow the same rules as the state rules. Click here for a copy of the state level information.

Halloween in July at the fair means we are having a costume contest for the youth exhibitors and their animals! Mark your calendars for Thursday, July 4th @ 5pm. More information and an entry form will be coming soon.
